The Marshall Foundation's poster collection has been established through the generosity of individual donors. This online collection is published to enable students and scholars interested in studying and researching the numerous subjects and aspects unique to war posters. The collection illustrates another important facet of the two world wars in which General Marshall served and illuminates the social changes that occurred during his lifetime. The posters may be seen as history, chronicling the First and Second World Wars, as propaganda to marshal peoples, and as sociology, reflecting the popular culture of their times.
